How To Join
Lambda Upsilon Lambda has three ways to be inducted, Undergraduate induction, Professional(Alumni) induction, and Honorary induction.
An Interested gentleman may apply for membership as an undergraduate student in good standing at a fully accredited four year college or university.
Interested gentleman may also apply for membership into an Alumni Chapter as a graduate who has earned a degree from a fully accredited four year college of university.
Unlike undergraduate and professional induction, Honorary Hermanos are nominated by Chapters or any Active Hermano and submitted to the Board of Directors for approval.
Undergraduate Eligibility
- Matriculation in an accredited four year, degree-granting institution of higher education
- Must attend at least two Informationals
- Must meet GPA Requirement:
Second Semester Freshman – 3.0
Upper Classman – 2.8 - Letter of Recommendation
- Sponsored by one active member
- Must complete New Member Education application
- Must meet institution’s new member requirements
Professional Eligibility
- Must have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and provide documentation by the accredited institution and/or minimum of 3 years’
experience in their line of work. Appeals for a candidate can be made on a case by case basis - Must have successfully planned and executed a minimum of 2 educational seminars and 2 community service projects with the support of the Gamma Chapter
- Must have submitted 2 letters of recommendation:
1 personal, 1 professional.
